We respect our customer's right to privacy. The information we collect from you is used only for processing your order or providing you with our promotional literature. We do not share any personal information that you give us with any outside individuals or companies.

We endeavour to use the most secure technology available with regard to processing your on-line order to ensure the privacy of your information.

To properly utilize our Search system, you must have cookies enabled. We use cookies to keep track of your shopping cart. We do not collect personal information via cookies.



This is one of the easiest ways to make a payment for an order, and is the method we prefer. If payment is made via this method and an adjustment to the final total amount is required (for example to reflect the actual shipping costs), we will either send a refund via PayPal or request that additional funds be sent.

VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS indirectly accepts Visa, American Express, and Master Card as a method of payment, which can be activated at Checkout by selecting the PayPal payment method. Please follow the instructions on the PAYPAL site to complete your credit card payment.

There is no surcharge for this service. All credit card orders will be authorized through the issuing financial institution. Your card will be billed in Canadian dollars and your issuing institution will make any necessary currency conversions.

For all first-time orders, shipments can only be made to the billing address of the credit card being used. If there is to be an exception to this, you will have to inform your credit card company of the address the shipment will be going to so they will approve the transaction. Otherwise, we will not be able to process your order.

PERSONAL CHEQUES OR MONEY ORDERS is happy to accept personal cheques or money orders in either Canadian or U.S. funds. If a money order is sent from outside of Canada, please ensure it is a valid International Money Order that can be cashed within Canada. Please note that shipment of your order may be delayed until our bank clears your personal cheque (often within 10 business days of deposit).

VINTAGE ITEMS offers two general categories of items for sale: "generally available" and "vintage". Generally available products are new items obtained from suppliers and manufacturers in the current marketplace.

Vintage items refer to products whose condition is considered to be "vintage", "antique", "collectible", "retro", or otherwise are normally one-of-a-kind items that likely are not new and are not available from suppliers. As such, they are not in perfect condition - some may have noticeable damage such as paint chipping, minor colour fading or discolouration, small holes or tears, and so on. These conditions are considered normal wear and tear. We describe defects and abnormalities as accurately as possible in our item descriptions, and welcome your enquiries via email if you would like additional photos or explanations.

We also offer hand-made items that are often one-of-a-kind, or are different in some way from each other.

PRICING will attempt to keep pricing as competitive as possible and prices are subject to change in relation to pricing from the manufacturers as well as current currency exchange conditions and federal taxation policies.'s prices are quoted in Canadian funds. Applicable Federal and Provincial sales taxes are included in the invoice totals, and vary depending on the shipping destination selected by the customer.


Unless requested otherwise, we will normally backorder items that are out of stock and honour any sale price which may apply to the item at the time of the order. The only exception to this is for items which are at clearance or that have been otherwise in limited quantities for the sale. If this is the case, you will be informed via email that the item cannot be backordered when we receive your order confirmation.

Only actual shipping costs are charged for both the original order and any backorder which may be requested. We are happy to hold any order for which there have been some backordered items, or to combine multiple items until the order is complete before shipping, if so requested.


We will be happy to special order any item which we do not normally stock but that is available through our normal ordering channels. This may include products found in our online catalogue such as hand-made items, and you will be informed via email when we receive your order confirmation if this is the case. Special orders may require a deposit.


If you receive an item which you have ordered and it is not what you had expected, you may return the product within 30 days from date of invoice for a complete refund on the price of the product plus shipping and taxes, or receive a credit for an alternative purchase. If, by error we have sent you a product which was not what you had ordered, we will be happy to replace the item or send you a full refund.

The same policy applies to generally available, vintage or one-of-a-kind items that appear on our website.

If you want to return an item, please do not mark on, or damage the product packaging in any way. We protect all fragile products with additional packaging when shipping and ask for the same courtesy with returns.

If you receive a product and find that it is defective upon opening the package, please contact us within 30 days for a refund or replacement.

Once a new generally available item has been used, you must refer to the manufacturer's warranty. The manufacturer, not, is responsible for all manufacturing defects and liabilities. Most generally available products are warrantied by the manufacturer and you must return the product directly to them for repair or replacement. We often do not deal directly with manufacturers and are not in a position to do warranty repairs or replacements. Different items will have different warranty policies. If you have a problem with a product and are in doubt as to what to do, please call us for assistance.


In order to serve our customers in the most effective manner, please feel free to use e-mail to correspond with us.

Orders are shipped from the location in Toronto, Ontario, and we generally ship orders via Canada Post. This allows us to ship to every address in the country, whereas many other couriers cannot. We can also ship by other means. Please contact us if you have another method by which you wish to have your order shipped. Additional charges may apply and small delays may be encountered due to a departure from normal product flow.

Our "Order Confirmation" screen indicates a rate on shipping for Canadian and non-Canadian orders as an estimate only. Final charges are based on actual shipping costs for each parcel and destination. The site cannot determine the dimensions of each shipping package nor its exact destination, but you can get an estimate of the shipping yourself at the following link: Canada Post Parcel Rate Calculator. If a shipping method is not specified we will usually ship by insured Expedited Mail, which is the most economical means. If you need an item more quickly, please indicate either Express Post or Priority Courier on your order.

    Expedited Mail
    Expedited Mail is the most economical way to have your order shipped and is usually delivered within 4 to 9 business days to most centers within Canada.

    Express Post
    Express Post is usually 2 day delivery to all major centers in Canada. Outlying areas may be slightly longer.

    Priority Courier
    Priority Courier is usually next day delivery to all major centers within Canada. Outlying areas may be slightly longer.

Shipping charges depend on the destination, weight and size of a package and the service chosen. Final shipping charges are calculated after your order has been packaged and weighed. We can only estimate shipping charges at the time your order is placed. However, if the shipping calculator over-estimates the shipping fees, the total order amount can be reduced by indicating a Discount Coupon on the payment screen at check-out. We will contact you with the correct Discount Coupon code value to enter.

    Overlength $7.50 Canada Post charge if package is over 1.0 meter (39") in length.

    Insurance All orders will be sent insured unless otherwise requested. We will not be responsible for loss or damage of any shipment which is not insured. Insurance charges are $0.75 per hundred dollars worth of merchandise.

    Please note - Our order confirmation screen does not provide a mechanism for indicating an adjustment to the calculated totals displayed (other than via the Discount Coupon mentioned above). We will indicate in the comments field any amounts to be adjusted and the reason for the differences.
